The fabric in this quilt pattern is swappable.  Any layer cake fabric palette will produce a nice quilt.  Please click through the images to see alternate fabric palettes.
 
The finished quilt top shown featured the Cuzco Layer Cake from Moda Fabrics and blue solid fabricfrom Kona solids. Finished Quilt Top Measures 67 inches by 67 inches.
 
The blue background was chosen for the modern quilt movement.  To make a traditional big-block quilt, change the blue to a white background fabric.
 
Fabric Requirements:
One 20-piece ten-inch stack or “layer cake” (A “Layer Cake” is © Moda Fabrics) or 10 fat quarters measuring 22 by 18 inches to cut into 10 inch squares.
2 1/2 yards solid fabric (blue shown, but any color may be used.  White will create a traditional look.)
 Border Option: 2 yards of fabric cut on the lengthwise grain.
