Edge To Edge Quilting
Budget Friendly!
In edge to edge quilting, one quilt pattern starts at the left edge of the quilt and goes to the right edge of the quilt. The sampler quilt shown has a Baptist Fan pattern quilted on it. It is a traditional hand-quilted pattern and goes from one edge of the quilt to the other.

Cost: 2 cents per square inch
Semi-Custom Quilting
Customizable Borders and Sashing
In semi-custom quilting, the borders and sashings are customized, while quilt blocks have free-hand, free-motion quilting. In the quilt shown, the applique has been quilted in the ditch with a loop the loop meander in the background, while the hourglass blocks have a floral rose meander quilted in them.

Cost 2.5 cents per square inch
Custom Quilting
Custom Quilting

In custom quilting, the thread-path used in the quilt looks like traditional, hand quilting. Custom quilting includes features such as cross-hatching, bump-back feathers, piano keys and other traditional techniques from antique quilts. Micdro-stippling is featured in this photo and was done around the hand stitched redwork.

Cost: begins at 3 cent per square inch and depends on the amount of ruler work involved.
