The fabric in this quilt pattern is swappable.  Any layer cake fabric palette will produce a nice quilt.  Please click through the images to see alternate fabric palettes.
 
This quilt features the Marmalade Layer Cake fabric collection from Moda fabrics and red from Kona fabrics.  For a traditional look, the red fabric can be swapped for a white color.  The finished quilt top measures 76 inches by 86 inches.
 
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:
One 42-piece Layer Cake 10 inch square stack of fabric or 3 yards of assorted fabrics at least 1/3 yard wide or 21 fat quarters measuring 18 inches by 22 inches.
 One yard red print for lightning bolt blocks
Two and one-half yards red print for borders.
Note: Additional borders can be added to create a larger quilt top.
